Crafting in WoW Shadowlands: Determine secondary values yourself

Some time ago, we already reported about the optional reagents that will spice up the crafting in WoW Shadowlands. In Shadowlands, you can add up to three additional bonuses to crafted items, such as those made by the blacksmith or leatherworker (so far). Crafting items will receive additional sockets with special effects. You can see what this looks like in the image from the previous alpha build.

The places for optional reagents are shown here with green plus symbols, on the right you can see a list of bonuses that you can add to the item. Some of the items in the list are from different professions. For example, you can use bonuses like "You do a little more damage against wildlife" or add an Inscriptionist item to another slot that increases the item's level by five points.

In the image above, select the green plus icon in the bottom right corner ("Specify a secondary stat"). With this, the developers remove a crucial random factor and make it less frustrating when crafting special items whose resources are limited by, for example, weekly boss drops.

In addition, the latest alpha build of WoW (buy now €14.99 ) Shadowlands has added three new Optional Reagents, which are now also available for each armor slot. You can check out more of these effects in our first look at Optional Reagents article.

• Reinforced Girdle - You retain your "Saturation Buff" when defeated in the Arena or Battleground.
• Necrostatic Micro Capacitor - Increases the player's primary stats when completing world quests.
• Elethium Setting - Adds a socket slot to the crafted item.
