Is your hardware ready for the upcoming Final Fantasy 14 expansion Shadowbringers? To find out, check out the brand new benchmark software that Square Enix has released. The program allows you to put your computer through its paces and then rates your system's performance.
Once you've downloaded and run the benchmark, you can start the test, which will then play some gameplay footage from the expansion. You will be able to see not only the new areas, but also new enemies such as Titania or the combat animations of the Dancer and the Gunblade. Once the test is complete, you will receive a score. This can range from under 1,000 (your system is not suitable for Shadowbringers) to over 7,000 (you can play on the highest settings). In the graphics settings, it's also possible to make adjustments to the test video to see which settings improve performance the most. Final Fantasy 14: Test your hardware and create your own Viera! (2) Source: Square Enix But that's not all, because the benchmark software also allows you to create the new Viera and Hrothgar races for the first time. You can then dress your creations in the armour of your choice and let them appear as protagonists in the test video. Alternatively, you can use the saved appearance of your character from the normal game.
By the way, you don't need to own the game or a current subscription to run the benchmark. So if you're taking a break, it's still possible to create a Viera or test your system. You can check out the full test video from the benchmark below.
