WoW: Buffs and Nerfs for Corruption - Echoing Void Weakened

We've discussed enough by now that the spoilage effects in patch 8.3 of WoW are sometimes too out of hand. The DpS of a damage dealer currently basically only depends on whether he has won the spoilage lottery. The developers already tweaked the effects last week, but perks like Echoing Void are still mercilessly overpowered. Now, however, more nerfs have been announced, especially for Echoing Void.

Update 6.2.20: The changes will only be made with the next ID.

• The effect of Echoing Void is significantly weakened
• The effectiveness of Void Ritual is to receive a small buff
• The duration of Deadly Sweep will be increased so that the stackable buff doesn't expire beforehand.

In the same move, the developers are considering other buffs and nerfs to go live at a later date:

• The damage of twilight ravage is to be reduced
• Other corruption effects are to be improved

Which Corruption effects have earned a buff according to the developers has not yet been determined. Also, whether the number of corruption points for Reverberating Void and Co. might change will only become clear with the update.

According to community manager Kaivax on the official forums, the changes for Reverberating Void, Void Ritual, and Deadly Sweep should be applied in the next 24 hours and there will be an update from the developers once that happens. The accompanying Blue Post was published at 02:00 our time
