Back in November we reported about the fastest Molten Core Speed Run of the Classic servers. Even then, the group only needed 28 minutes and 29 seconds. Since then, many groups have tried to beat this record, and many have succeeded. Until recently, the record for the fastest Molten Core clear was 25:34 min.
The guild Gusy from the EU server Golemagg has now just beaten this speed run record, taking only 24:53 min. You can see how they did it in the video below.

In the meantime, a whole MC Speed Run community has developed on the official WoW (buy now 14,99 € ) Classic servers, which tries to run as fast as possible through Molten Core using increasingly sophisticated tricks and tactics. Most of the time it's really all about making good time, because the preparation for these runs takes a lot of time. In addition to a lot of reasonably well-equipped Furor Warriors and Rogues, you need all the important buffs, including the Onyxia buff, of course.

The Alliance guild in this video even managed to get the (actually Horde-exclusive buff) Warchief's Boon. This is only available in Orgrimmar when Rend Blackhand's head is delivered to Thrall. So getting the entire raid safely to and from Orgrimmar at the right time as an alliance was definitely not easy. Some players therefore accuse the guild of violating the TOS, because cross-faction agreements are not allowed in some form. However, no one can really prove that.
