Update from February 11, 2020:
To race through the entire Molten Core in just 28 minutes was quite an achievement. However, thanks to better equipment and more sophisticated strategies, several guilds have managed to beat that mark in the meantime. The current fastest time, according to the Classic section of Warcraftlogs, was achieved a few days ago by the EU guild Dreamstate, which took only 22:21 minutes to send Ragnaros back into the lava.

Original news on November 12, 2019:
Speed Runs are usually familiar to many gamers from offline games, but in recent years they have been gaining popularity in online games as well. In WoW (buy now €14.99 ), the phenomenon is additionally fueled by developers organizing their own speed run tournament through current Mythic dungeons of Battle for Azeroth with the Mythic Dungeon Invitationals (MDI). But the WoW Classic servers are also abuzz with speed runs, especially after the first major raid, Molten Core in the Depths of Blackrock, was cleared out in the first week after the Classic servers were released.

Nevertheless, the Classic heroes continue to run into the Fire Lord Ragnaros, not only to complete their outfits and pick up coveted loot, but also to show the final boss of the raid who is the boss in the basement of the Blackrock as quickly as possible. The EU guild APES, which took the two World Firstkills on the Classic servers of Ragnaros and Onyxia on the EU server Gehennas, is doing quite well with 30:11 minutes on the clock. But two guilds, also from Europe, prove that it can be done even faster. The alliance guild Progress from the EU server Firemaw is at 28:56 minutes. And at the top of the list, as the authors of Icy Veins report, is the SALAD BAKERS clan, which has raced through Molten Core with just one tank, ten healers, and 29 damage dealers. Of course, there's also a video. You can see the speed run from the point of view of the rogue Nuttella - on November 10, 2019 the guilds SALAD BAKERS, Progress and ONSLAUGHT met for the speed run competition, the Salads won.

By the way, the US guild ONSLAUGHT is in first place at Onyxia.

It

took players just 1:27 minutes to push the dragon lady into the dirt.
