The Great Treasury in WoW Shadowlands is already a significant improvement on the weekly box that we got in Legion or BfA. After all, since then we are allowed to choose our desired item from up to nine different items. However, understandably, it still happened that none of them really met our wishes or was useful in any way. So every now and then, we've had to resort to the consolation prize: 750 Stygia. Not much, considering you need 7,200 of the resource just for a single socket. As of patch 9.1, however, we not only get more Stygia as a consolation prize, but we actually get to choose the resource ourselves.
- As a consolation prize in the Great Treasury, there are now three Attendant's Tokens of Merit.
These tokens can be exchanged for a resource of your choice at the appropriate merchant in Oribos. In addition to Stygia, you can choose from Anima and Soul Ash. For one Attendant's Token of Merit, you will receive the following resources:
- Soul Ash Cache: 250 Soul Ash
- Stygic Singularity: 500 Stygia
- Arrangement of Anima: 175 Anima
Since you get three tokens, you can buy up to 1,500 Stygia or 750 Soul Ash. Of course, you're also allowed to mix it up and buy a little bit of each resource, for example.
So, thanks to this adjustment, you now get the resource you want or need the most as a consolation prize. However, the amount of anima seems a little low in proportion. But remember, this is data from the PTR. So the amount of resources can still change.
