The developers of Blizzard have once again played a hotfix package on the live servers of World of Warcraft (buy now 14,99 € )

night. In addition to the usual bug fixes for creatures, raid bosses, items and quests, there's also a nice surprise for all hunters: they can now tame additional animal species such as sea snakes or mechanical chickens.

Below you can read the English patch notes until the release of the German patch notes. Hotfixes are updates that are applied server-side without the need to download new data. Some of the changes listed below will take effect as soon as Blizzard implements them, while others will only take effect after an announced realm restart. Please note that some issues cannot be fixed without a client-side patch.

WoW Patch 8.3: Hotfixes from January 30, 2020

Classes

  • Hunter
    • Dire Raven, Rocs, Sea Serpents, and Mechanical Chickens can now be tamed.
    • The level of Iron Colossi summoned by Hunters during the Battle for Orgrimmar now scales with the level of that Hunter.

Creatures & NPCs

  • The Salt-billed Albatross now counts as a bird of prey, as intended.
  • Lalathin has broken free of her cage and is now just outside of Suramar.
  • Shadowclaw now looks more appropriate.
  • Slate Crabber, Frenzied Pterrordaxe, and Terrible Tick Biter are now part of the intended creature type.

Dungeons & Raids

  • Ny'alotha, the Awakened City
    • Ra-den the Desecrated
      • Unstable Nightmare no longer deals damage to pets on Mythic difficulty.

Items and Rewards

  • Fixed a bug where Guardian Druids could obtain the Deathmark Essence (Rank 2 of Breath of the Dying) for damage classes through Breath of the Everlasting Spirit.
  • The effectiveness of the Life-Giving Voodoototem has been reduced by 50% in PvP for all roles except healers.
  • The effect of Void Disfigured Titan Shard is now triggered by healing spells as intended.
  • Corrupted Items
    • The graphical effect of Twilight Devastation is now only visible to allied players in the open world.
  • Heart of Azeroth
    • Fixed a bug where when using the usable effect of the Essence of Lucid Dream Remembrance, the Frost Mage Icicle counter did not match the meter.

Quests

  • Fixed a bug that prevented Alliance characters from completing the quest "Heroic Warfront: The Battle for the Dark Coast".
