The contents of the upcoming WoW Patch 9.1.5 mainly revolve around making our lives in Shadowlands easier and giving Twinks more options to reach the endgame. One of these options will be Torghast, the Endless Tower. This will be integrated as a feature into Threads of Fate, the alternate leveling method introduced in Shadowlands. However, this variant hardly seems worthwhile according to the current PTR state.
Experience points in Torghast
The main reason for this is that you don't exactly get a lot of experience points in Torghast. Every mob gives you XP, but only a few. And the experience points you get for solving the puzzles inside the tower are also sparse.
- You will receive about 30 experience points per enemy in Torghast - regardless of the enemy type. Maw rats give the same amount of XP as an elite enemy.
- Only the final bosses of the respective wing (5th level) give you more XP. However, this amount is also quite small. At level 50, you can expect about ten percent of a level, but the amount drops to about five percent the higher your own level is.
- Additionally, every day you'll receive a quest that rewards you with a larger chunk of XP after completing two wings. This corresponds to about 30 percent of a level and also reduces with increasing level. However, you also get 150 soul ash on top, which is not so bad.
Too little, too slow
The amount of experience points is therefore manageable. If you want to reach the maximum level quickly, Torghast is not really an option. On the one hand, the XP is very limited due to the quests that can only be done once a day - and without a quest, the trip isn't worth it in terms of XP at all - on the other hand, you'll still receive significantly more XP per hour via dungeons and normal quests. Unless, of course, you're one of those absolute speedrunners who can complete a wing in three or four minutes.
There's also the lack of loot. Although you'll get some gold pieces from the enemies in Torghast, you'll have to wait a long time for useful equipment or weapons. So if you haven't upgraded all the heirlooms you need, you'll have to look for new items from other sources.
Conclusion:
Torghast offers a little more variety when leveling, but it won't let you level faster.Support buffed - it only takes a minute. Thank you!Do you like buffed? Every amount, big or small, is valuable.
