With the upcoming start of the alpha test phase of WoW: Shadowlands, the developers at Blizzard have finally opened the previously encrypted data for all diligent dataminers. And they have already uncovered a lot of exciting information.

Apparently, with the upcoming expansion, we no longer have to torture ourselves through the reputation grind if we want to unlock one of the previously implemented ally races for our account

According to Wowhead, the reputation requirements for unlocking the allies have been removed in all cases. What remains are the story campaigns that belong to the respective races. For the Dark Iron Dwarves you still have to play through the war campaign in Kul Tiras and Zandalar, for the Mechagnomes the Mechagon story.

Until there is an official confirmation from Blizzard, however, you should enjoy this change with a pinch of caution. After all, this is still far from being a final alpha build. Nevertheless, we want to know what you think about this simplification, if it stays that way?
