WoW: Opinions differ on the Grimmling wings

In the meantime, it has become a tradition that those WoW players who treat themselves to a WoW subscription for a longer period of time get a visually rich goodie for their loyalty and commitment. It was no different with a sailing ship than it is now with the Transmogset Grimling Runabout Wing, which has been available since October 20, 2020 for signing up for a 6-month subscription. Yes, it is very eye-catching. No wonder, the Grimmling Flitzer wings are inspired by a Grimmling Flitzer, and they are known for their bright colors that are supposed to scare off enemies. Anyone who opts for the six-month subscription by December 14, 2020, will get the Grimmling Flitzer wings for free. If you only want the Grimmling Flitzer wings and don't want the subscription, you'll have to pay 20 euros on the virtual counter.

Looks are always such a thing. Either you like a look or you don't. Even if you get the Transmogset for free because of the 6-month subscription, you won't be forced to use it. What rather attracts the gloating and mockery of the gaming community on the people of Blizzard Entertainment is again the eternal discussion whether there should be cosmetic items for purchase in the store or not. The like/dislike ratio of the introduction videos on Youtube speaks different languages. The English one says: about 2,800 likes, about 22,000 dislikes with more than 220,000 views after three days (as of 10/23/2020 at 16:00). The German, on the other hand, says 221 likes, 559 dislikes to just under 18,000 views in the same period.

Even if you were to equalize the views, it is noticeable that the English video on the U.S. account of World of Warcraft (buy now € 14.99 ) times got a lot more hate than the one on the German Youtube account to WoW. Some fans even believe that this is the most (and fastest) "hated" official video for Wow.

But it's also clear from the memes that sprouted like mushrooms from the forest floor shortly after the glow-in-the-dark set was unveiled that what could possibly, in the eyes of fans, be the problem: Activision CEO Bobby Kotick's hunger for money, which in the eyes of WoW fans rivals even Goblin boss Gallywix. A taint remains with such actions somehow always, if parts of the proceeds are not donated as usual at the charity pet for a good cause. Or what do you think of the Grimmlingflitzer wings? Absolutely dead chic - or absolutely not hot?
