We expected a lot of bugs and unbalanced content at the launch of the WoW Shadowlands pre-patch, but we didn't expect something like unwanted new abilities from bosses in Ny'alotha. As players report via Twitter, a boss ability from a Shadowlands dungeon has crept into the fight against Inquisitor Xanesh in Ny'alotha. So the fight is made more difficult by an additional ability.

This ability is actually only possessed by the third boss in the upcoming Shadowlands dungeon Plaguefall. As you can see from the log in the tweet, this ability does not insignificant damage and seems to make the fight at Xanesh more difficult for some groups. We're excited to see what else spills over from the Shadowlands when we head to Ny'alotha ourselves after the pre-patch. By the way, in the tweet, the hunters are rightly blamed for this mistake, as they are now even picking up things from the Shadowlands with their multiple shot.
But seriously, how could such a mistake happen?
As Echo player Nnoggie notes in the Twitter thread, Xanesh may have served as a playground for the developers during the testing phase, where they tried out different abilities like the poison blades from Plaguefall. It is possible that the data was not cleaned properly in the end and the ability was accidentally left in the game.
