Blizzard certainly imagined this differently. Instead of announcing all the new information about the upcoming WoW Shadowlands Patch 9.1 live on stage during BlizzConline and thus raising the hype for the current expansion a bit again, all the important info was accidentally released a few days before. So we know most of the contents of the upcoming patch, which is called Chains of Domination.

One of these contents are the new Pact armor sets that will come into the game with patch 9.1. According to Blizzard, these are cosmetic armor sets, which suggests that they will probably only serve as a template for the Transmogg. This is also supported by the fact that Blizzard announced these sets in the leaked material as wearable for all classes. So there will probably be no extra set per armor class or even per classes. But only one set per pact. Also a picture of the sets was found in the too early published material.

Blizzard: new Covenant cosmetic armor sets that any class can wear

If you can count, you will immediately notice that there are five sets, although there are only four pacts. This can be due to several reasons. Of course, it's possible that the picture is of other, new sets and not the Pact armor sets. However, this is probably unlikely, since the sets are very much based on the look of the pacts. So, from left to right, we can probably see the sets of the Necrolords, the Nachtfae and the Kyrians. The two sets on the right would probably both fit quite well with the Venthyr. But then what is the other set?

It is of course possible that in the new area Korthia, which is coming to the live servers with patch 9.1, we will also be able to earn a new set, which the developers simply added to the picture. Or it could be a new set from the upcoming Sanctum of Domination raid.

What seems to be certain, however, is that the sets are available in several color variants. If you look closely, you will find a hunter in the new Ardenwald set on the picture below, which obviously shows a section of the new raid - but with different colors. Whether we can choose different colors, whether they depend on our class, or whether there is simply another look-alike set from other sources (perhaps the new Mega Dungeon?) remains unclear for now.
