In addition to unlocking Mythic-0 dungeons, Torghast, and the weekly Fame quests, the nasty end-game area of WoW Shadowlands - The Maw - won't play a bigger role until after Wednesday's ID reset. As wowhead's dataminers have correctly pointed out, players on the WoW Shadowlands beta server will now receive a debuff when entering the Maw that reduces the reputation received at Ven'ari and the Stygia received by 100 percent
.This debuff would likely affect us on release Tuesday tonight (Nov. 24, 00:00) and disappear with ID reset on Wednesday (Nov. 25). Those who reach level 60 directly on day 1 have no advantage over other players who need a little longer - if the servers allow a smooth process at all. WoW Shadowlands: Also Ven'ari call and Stygia only after ID reset (2) Source: wowhead.com The Eye of the Dungeon Master not only sends nastier and nastier mobs after you the longer you cause trouble there, but also refuses to let you collect Stygia and Reputation from Ven'ari before the first ID reset.
Ven'ari is one of the most important NPCs in WoW Shadowlands. The Astral is your only ally in the Maw and grants you via a weekly quest lots of the new resource Stygia, which is otherwise only available in very small quantities from the mobs in the Maw. Stygia is needed, among other things, to buy Spatial Realignment Apparatus and Unbound Reality Fragment from Ven'ari with enough reputation. The fragment either unlocks new ranks of your media or upgrades them. The Apparatus lets you add a socket to items without a socket slot.
