The WoW makers have finally announced the new release date of WoW: Shadowlands. The heroes in Europe will start the new adventure in the Shadowlands on November 24, 2020 at 00:00, as the WoW makers officially revealed. Fittingly, there are also two other dates that fans can mark in their calendars. On November 11, 2020, the pre-event with the Scourge Invasion will start on the live servers. And on December 9, 2020, Shadowlands Season 1 will begin with the opening of the first Shadowlands raid Castle Nathria in Revendreth. On behalf of the entire World of Warcraft team, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your patience and support in the face of our difficult decision to delay the release. Today, I am pleased to announce that the expansion will be released on November 24 at 0:00 a.m.

We would like to thank all the members of the WoW community who helped us get to this point. This includes all the players who are leveling up with new characters in the Shadowlands preparation patch (and making sure Azeroth's barbers don't get bored) and all the beta testers who continue to provide us with valuable feedback on the expansion.

Since informing you of our decision to delay the release, we've used the time to continue polishing the expansion and making improvements to the long-term content. Among other things, we have reworked the combat and reward system in the Maw, as well as the pact system, so that your decision will directly affect the game experience and you will have even clearer long-term goals. This gives the team the best chance to reach the finish line before November 24 - and as always, our focus is on continuing to improve the game with you for as long as you play it.

Now that there is a release date, we are also happy to announce that our pre-release event will start on November 11. So get ready to take on a flood of Scourge! We have also chosen December 9 as the opening date for our first raid, Castle Nathria. This will take players into the heart of Count Denathrius' seat of power in Revendreth.

We're looking forward to seeing you take your first steps into the Shadowlands and take control of your destiny - but until then, here's a sneak peek at what's waiting for you behind the veil.
