May 10, 2020 update: Blizzard has again adjusted the Fodder to the Flame pact ability with the latest Shadowlands Alpha build, according to Wowhead. The change affects your attack speed and damage mitigation:
- The Demon Hunter's necrolord pact ability Fodder to the Flame ensures that vanquishing your inner demon creates a pool of demon blood. If you fight within this pool, your attack speed will increase by 20 percent and damage done to you by enemies will decrease by ten percent.
Update, May 3, 2020:
During the night from Saturday to Sunday, a new Shadowlands alpha build (verse 34199) was uploaded to the alpha servers. This resulted in balance changes to the Demon Hunter, Paladin, and Warlock pact abilities. The changes are in detail:
- The Demon Hunter's Necrolord Pact ability Fodder of the Flame has been adjusted to let you enter demon form for 15 (Devastation) or 10 (Vengefulness) seconds.
- The Paladin's Venthyr Pact ability Ashen Hallow no longer gives you Consecration bonuses while standing within the Consecrated area. Instead, you may now cast the Hammer of Wrath on any target.
- The Warlock's Necrolord Pact ability Decimating Bolt has been generated and now deals 800 200 percent Shadow damage and increases the damage of the next 3 Burn, Soul Thieves, and Shadow Bolts by 250 200 percent.
We have also expanded the table below with current Pact abilities. We additionally still point out that this is not yet the final version and is therefore still to be expected with numerous further updates.
Original message from April 6, 2020
Yesterday evening (6.4.20), the developers of WoW (buy now 14,99 € ) have announced the start of the Shadowlands Alpha for this week. In addition to new info such as the return of PvP merchants, the pact system was also officially introduced in detail. You make pacts with one of the following four factions in Shadowlands, which provide you with certain signature abilities for your class, among other things.
- Kyrians: These angelic beings inhabit the Bastion and are dedicated to humility and devotion to their goals.
- Necrolords: The Necrolords pact is made up of lichs, warlords, and spies and is based in Maldraxxus. They provide an army that defends the Shadowlands.
- Night Fae: The Night Fae, the guardians of nature, live in the Arden Forest and accompany all beings through the cycle of life and death. With their help, the demigod Cenarius was able to return to Azeroth during the events following the Cataclysm.
- Venthyr: The vampiric Venthyr inhabit Revendreth and, as punishers of the unworthy, seek to purify the sinful souls sent to them by the Soul Judge.
