While many WoW players are enjoying the new Shadowlands content to the fullest, individual fans are currently experiencing stability issues on various servers. These problems apparently result from the rush of players to the realms, which are probably not up to the amount of characters in some cases. The developers at Blizzard have meanwhile commented on the problems in a blue post and promised a quick solution for the gameplay impairments.

They write about this in the official WoW forum:

"Recently, after the release of Shadowlands, we have noticed service issues that are negatively impacting gameplay on a small number of realms. In this region [Europe, editor's note], we are monitoring these issues on the following realms and working on a solution:

  • Blackhand
  • Blackmoore
  • Dentarg
  • Draenor
  • Lizard Cauldron
  • Hyjal
  • Kazzak
  • Mal'Ganis
  • Silvermoon
  • Taerar
  • Twisting Nether

We have increased realm capacity to allow more players than ever before onto a single realm, but extreme demand has exceeded even that capacity, so we have scaled back some of our previous changes. We are carefully trying to balance server stability and accessibility, and are looking at several ways to get all players online and playing smoothly.

These issues are a top priority for us. We will continue to work to fix them as quickly as possible, and we will release further updates as necessary.

Thank you for your patience. "

Let's

hope that the WoW developers will really fix the problems quickly so that all fans can enjoy a pleasant gaming experience.
