The final chapter of the Shadowlands campaign is finally here! We've had to wait a long time for this, after all, Steve Danuser, WoW's Narrative Lead, announced a few weeks ago that Shadowlands' grand finale would knock our socks off

. And lo and behold, he didn't promise us too much. At least not when it comes to the story of Sylvanas Windrunner. After defeating the Dungeon Master and saving Azeroth, the former Banshee Queen voluntarily returns to Oribos to stand before the new judge.Recommended Editorial ContentAtthis point you will find external content from [PLATTFORM]. Pelagos should pronounce judgment and decide what happens to Sylvanas next, he said. It seems strange that Pelagos should judge her soul, since Sylvanas is technically not dead. Still, with the new judge, a new age is dawning in the Shadowlands

. During his first speech, Pelagos announced that he is convinced that every soul, no matter how corrupted, deserves a second chance. This means that there will be no more damned and no more eternal punishment for the corrupted souls. Those who are guilty of terrible crimes during their lifetime will end up in Revendreth after their death and no longer in the maw. Thus these damned souls will be spared the terrible end.

Does Sylvanas deserve a second chance, too?

As the banshee steps in front of Pelagos, he explains to the audience that the stain of the jailer is on them all. Sylvanas interrupts his speech and says that she is responsible for her own actions. She was not the servant of the jailer, but his ally. He did not exercise control over her mind and body. Sylvanas explains that she is ready to face the consequences for her actions.

Anduin hesitates briefly when Pelagos asks the group if anyone would like to make an objection to the verdict. However, he decides to remain silent. Source: buffed Sylvanas' words are not entirely true. Without her soul shard, which she got back in the Sanctum of Domination, her soul was not complete. Alright, this complex story of shattered souls is far too complex to reasonably explain to the large audience in the chamber.

Except for the dungeon master, no one really knows how the Soul Shards work anyway. For Sylvanas, her Soul Shard doesn't matter anymore; she wants to end her long ordeal as soon as possible. Let's face it, a similar long process to Garrosh Hellscream at the end of Mists of Pandaria would be terribly boring.
