By the way, only the guild leader Sco can dissolve the guild completely. He has now spoken out for the first time in an official statement and takes a large part of the blame in the text "We failed you, I failed you". He says that it was solely the fault of the management and that neither the employees nor the players can do anything about it or should suffer from it. He also announces that he will take a step back for the time being in order to process the whole situation and think about the future.

What will happen to the other Method players, most of whom have spoken out about the issue in their own streams, remains open for the time being. Some, however, apparently would prefer to continue playing together - but in any case under a new flag. After all, friendships have formed over the years that most of the players have been active together.

Original news: For years, Method was the poster child of the WoW raiding scene. Currently, however, the guild seems to break completely within a few days. The reason for this lies in accusations that at least two of the employees are facing. Both Josh, one of the most famous players, and co-founder Sascha Steffens have been accused of sexual harassment. In Josh's case, it even involves the molestation of minors. And as if that weren't enough, the management of the guild and Esport company is also facing the accusation of having known about some of these incidents without reacting appropriately.

Josh had already attracted attention with negative statements several times in the past and for this reason already received a ban for the streaming platform Twitch last year

In addition to inappropriate statements about women in general and minors in particular ("15 to 16 years old are the perfect age" - source: dotesport.com), other offensive statements were also the reason for the ban. At that time Kotaku researched and came across further accusations, which apparently could not be completely proven (source: Kotaku).

As Scripe from Method reported, they knew within the organization about the police investigation against Josh, but believed Josh's protestations of innocence and did not investigate further. At Josh's request, and to protect any victims from a shitstorm by Josh's fans, they chose not to share this information with the public at that time, he said. After the charges were dropped, Method felt vindicated for not taking action. An assumption that now seems to be falling on their feet.

Renewed accusations against Josh

Currently, Josh is again accused of sexual harassment, which puts the former accusations in a different light. Among the accusers are again women who were minors at the time of the harassment. However, Method faces accusations that they have been silent for too long and have at least tolerated Josh's actions. Even within the organization, some women were aware of Josh and Sasha's behavior and apparently called for consequences more than a year ago - regardless of the outcome of police actions at the time.

Method's downfall?

All these circumstances are currently causing more and more players, streamers and other personalities to distance themselves from Method or cancel their contracts - including very prominent players like JDotB, PreachGaming or Classic player Esfand. Some have withdrawn directly, while others are pressuring Method by making their stay contingent on the organization's response. Sponsors are also already turning away from Method.
