If you want to play the current end-game content in WoW: Shadowlands, you need one thing above all: sufficiently good equipment with a correspondingly high item level. Dungeon runs and weekly reward chests from the treasure trove are the first choice for many players, but recently the world and vocation quests have also become a potential gear alternative for some characters.
Since the WoW developers have unlocked more glory levels of the pacts
with the last weekly reset and players can reach glory level 19, the item level of the rewards from world and vocation quests has also increased significantly. Those who complete world quests will now receive equipment with a maximum item level of 184, which is an epic quality level. The equipment that you can get from the reward chests of the vocation quests with luck even has a maximum item level of 197. The media that you get from world and vocation quests are at item level 184. This currently means for the scaling of the world and vocation quests::- Rewards without fame level scale to a maximum item level of 158 (world quests) or 171 (vocation quests)...
- Rewards with a fame level of 10 or higher scale to a maximum item level of 171 (world quests) or 184 (vocation quests).
- Rewards of fame level 19 or higher scale to a maximum item level of 184 (world quests) or 197 (vocation quests).
So if you want to get your character ready for the current raid in Castle Nathria, you can use rewards from world and vocation quests as an alternative to the other sources of equipment, provided you have the appropriate fame level. By the way, when we unlock fame level 29 in four weeks, the item level of the world quest rewards will increase one last time, to level 197. How exactly the vocation quests will scale is still unknown.
